If you're looking for a great place to enjoy delicious Filipino comfort food, Max's Restaurant in SM Mega Mall is a top choice. Located on the 3rd floor of Building A, right in the heart of Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City, it's a place that combines both convenience and tradition. This restaurant has been a favorite for locals and visitors alike, serving up classic Filipino dishes in a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere.

Walking into Max's Restaurant, you're immediately greeted with a warm ambiance, making it a perfect spot to hang out with friends or have a family meal. The spacious interior, coupled with friendly staff, creates a welcoming environment. Whether you're dining in for a quick bite or planning a celebration, the vibe here makes it feel like home.

One of the standout features of this branch is its location at SM Mega Mall. Being in such a bustling shopping center, it’s easy to access and a great stop after a long day of shopping. If you’re around EDSA or Doña Julia Vargas Avenue, Max's Restaurant is conveniently situated to offer a satisfying meal when you need a break from all the activities.

Now, let’s talk about the food. Max’s is well-known for its signature dish - Max's fried chicken. It’s crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. This dish has been a crowd favorite for years and never disappoints. The crispy chicken is often paired with a side of warm rice, gravy, and a fresh serving of banana ketchup for an authentic Filipino experience.

Aside from the fried chicken, Max’s menu is full of mouthwatering options, each showcasing the richness of Filipino flavors. The sinigang na baboy, a tangy pork soup with vegetables, is always a favorite during the cooler months, offering a perfect balance of sourness and savoriness. If you're a fan of grilled meats, the liempo (grilled pork belly) is tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of smokiness.

For those who enjoy seafood, the sweet and sour fish is a must-try. The dish features crispy fish fillets bathed in a tangy and sweet sauce, providing a delightful contrast of flavors. If you’re craving a heavier meal, the pancit canton (stir-fried noodles) is packed with savory ingredients like shrimp, pork, and vegetables. It's a satisfying dish that many enjoy sharing with loved ones.

Max's also offers a range of refreshing beverages and desserts to complement your meal. The buko pandan (young coconut with pandan jelly) is a popular dessert choice - creamy, sweet, and light, it's the perfect way to end your meal on a high note.

While the food steals the show, it’s also worth noting how Max’s Restaurant stands out with its customer service. The staff is always attentive and ready to provide a great dining experience. Whether it's explaining the menu or ensuring that your meal is served just the way you like it, you can tell that the team here takes pride in their work. This level of service really elevates the overall dining experience.

If you’re looking for a reliable spot to enjoy Filipino favorites with a modern twist, Max's at SM Mega Mall should be on your list. The combination of delicious food, great service, and a prime location in Ortigas makes it a standout choice in Metro Manila. Whether you're stopping by for a casual lunch or a celebratory dinner, Max’s Restaurant offers something for everyone, making it a beloved destination for locals and tourists alike.

  • Max’s Restaurant is a timeless choice for hearty Filipino dishes. Their signature fried chicken is always perfectly crispy and flavorful, paired well with their classic sides like lumpiang shanghai and pancit canton. The cozy ambiance and attentive service make it a great spot for family meals and celebrations. I must say that this has been a true Filipino dining experience!

  • Their chicken tastes exactly the same as decades ago! Super yummy. Tender and juicy inside, slightly crispy skin. Flavourful too. Their crispy pata (with bones) was just as fantastic. Sorry, no photo. We dug into it too quickly. Both items are reasons enough to return to Manila. The pata was huge, enough for 3-4. Their fresh lumpia was a lump and small but the chicken made up for it. Service was excellent, attentive. Quick, friendly and professional. From start to finish. The combo meal came with dessert, nothing to rave about but it’s nice that they included a bite of butterscotch cake. Interiors were modernized and quite appealing.

  • Dined here on a Saturday evening. We were immediately seated on a table. Service was excellent but food kinda tastes bland and plain. Ambiance was a little bit underwhelming.
